DescriptionBack then, Lorna Daud knew nothing about mango winemaking. She only knew how to manage her seven(7) hectares mango plantation. Year 2001 when she started harvesting mangoes every April to June. Appreciating mangoes encouraged the proponent to engage herself in a wine business and established Yulaik Food Products in 2008. She experimented on mangoes then sells the wine to her friends. Driven by her compassion, it was year 2009 when she visited DOST-Camarines Sur provincial office and inquired how to improve her mango wine production. However, after learning that her mango production had suffered from low production, we instead enrolled her to the Consultancy for Agricultural Productivity Enhancement (CAPE) Program wherein CAPE experts recommended for pruning, soil test and fertilization. With improved agricultural productivity, she has now enrolled in SETUP to improve her wine production that is gaining popularity after she had joined severe trade fairs in local and in Manila.
