DescriptionThe Ethnic Food Industries, owned and managed by Ms. Victoria Orbita Agomaa, was established last Saptember 2003. The business name was derived from the raw materials used in making the company's organic and healthy products, macapuno and virgin coconut oil products. On 1995, the proponent went to Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) at Guinobatan, Albay to buy coconut seedlings. PCA recommended to also plant macapuno trees. Thus, the proponent allocated 2 hectares for it. Years passed trees bear fruits and the proponent do not know what to do with the fruits of macapuno. It was Ms. Precilla M. Encilla, former PSTD of Camarines Sur Who encourage and instructed her to visit DOST V-Laboratory to inquire on processing of macapuno and virgin coconut oil processing.
